As a licensed mental health counselor, I am here to provide you with support as you navigate life’s challenges. The counseling treatment plan is tailored to your unique personal goals and needs. The counseling process involves establishing rapport, exploring your life story, identifying your personal needs and goals, gaining knowledge of symptoms and diagnoses, and learning healthy coping skills and techniques to enhance your mental well-being.
Tweens and teens experience a range of unique challenges, including anxiety, depression, social strain, difficult family relationships, and more. Using evidence-based techniques, I can help tweens and teens develop coping skills, increase self-awareness, gain confidence, improve relationships, learn to advocate for self, and embrace personal strengths for greater satisfaction and success.
Group therapy can be a powerful way to make connections and gain insight from others facing similar challenges. My group counseling sessions provide a safe space to share your experiences and learn from others. Counseling groups including stress management, parent support, and neurodivergent young adults will be scheduled as needed.
Neurodivergent affirming individual and group counseling uses a strength-based approach to identify obstacles in daily living, social relationships, communication, sensory processing, and emotional regulation. I respectfully consider each individual's preferences, challenges, and skills to create an evidenced-based treatment plan. I welcome input on creating a sensory-friendly environment in-person and in the virtual session room.
Parenting can be challenging! I provide parent support in individual counseling, group counseling, and parent workshops to help you problem solve and meet the needs of your children and yourself. Parent support consists of education on parenting styles, identifying parenting strengths, learning the 4 C's of parenting (care, consistency, choices, consequences), and exploring ways to create healthy parent-child connections.
